Ascert are pleased to announce the general availability of version 4.2 of VersaTest.
This release provides further benefits in ease of use for both testers and script developers. The key features of the release are:
Interactive Message Editor
The VersaTest Interactive Message Editor allows messages sourced from a running script or a reference file to be captured in-flight within the VWIN GUI and edited intelligently before being sent to the application under test. This has been a long requested enhancement by the user base and provides new opportunities to testers to manipulate test cases manually without the need to amend a VTALK Script.
Visual Script Debugger
A VTALK Script Debugger has also been a long requested enhancement for VersaTest and has been implemented in V4.2 on the MP platform. The debugger allows scripters to insert breakpoints in their VTALK code and to step through compiled scripts as they execute to examine their function. Scripters have access to all data elements including message buffers and context during the debug session.
