Faster Payments Service (FPS) Member Simulator v1.1 Released
 

Ascert are pleased to announce the general availability of version 1.1 of the FPS Member Simulator.

This is the first non-Beta release of the simulator and contains the following additional key features:

Test Case Scheduler

This is a powerful facility that allows users to activate test cases from within other test cases, or for a test case to reschedule itself, thus providing 'persistent test case' and 'autorun' functionality. This provides a simple and standardised way to create scripts that act as automatic responders, or that can automatically commence execution of test cases based on receipt of specific incoming "trigger" messages.

Generic Counter

This feature gives users the capability to set, vary and assign counter values to any integer field in an FPS transaction message, such as the Settlement Cycle ID (Field 29).

Static Data Look Up

This gives users the ability to define and reference member specific data outside of the test case file in a 'Named Data Set' (NDS). This removes the need to repeatedly hard code 'default' member data in the test case files.
